If you want to create an elegant and beautiful make-up, firstly provide your skin with proper moisture. Check what a winter make-up should look like and how to take care of face skin on frosty days.
Moisturising the face isn’t enough!
Do an exfoliating scrub twice a week and use low concentration acids once a week. Thanks to such treatment, your skin will be smooth, moisturised and firm. Further face care as well as make-up will take up very little time. Which beauty products should you avoid in winter? Give up on loose powders and mattifying foundation. Such products may cause skin dryness. Use mousse foundation, BB creams and pressed powders. Don’t use water-based cosmetics in winter. Apply dense foundation that contains plant oils. Use moisturising lipsticks on frosty and windy days. Choose waterproof products and the ones that won’t smudge your clothes.
Which colours go with winter scenery?
Go for gold, brown, dark pink and violet, copper, silver. Pick products which lighten up your complexion. For example, use metallic eye shadows, glittery blushers and shimmering protective lip balms. You will also need make-up primer and spot corrector which will help you to cover cracked blood vessels, red skin and other blemishes. Go to a drug store and look for products designed for sensitive, vascular and dry skin.
How to apply winter make-up?
Firstly, cleanse and tone the face skin. Then, apply a silicone make-up base. The cosmetic will extend durability of the foundation, cover the imperfections and protect the skin from minus temperature and cold wind. Wait more or less 10 minutes until the base is absorbed and blended with your skin tone. Fix the whole make-up with a powder with shimmering flecks. Apply vaseline or moisturising and protective lipstick to the delicate skin of the lips.
