Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow is an iconic cosmetic and that means quite expensive. Every woman interested in make-up knows where the phenomenon of the eyebrow corrector came from. Not everyone, however, wants to spend hard earned money on one, small tube of pomade.
Cosmetic brands try to reach (or even outrival) the ideal. Cosmetic market filled with products expected to be the alternative for the iconic eyebrow architect – Aqua Brow. What are these cosmetics and were they able to measure up with Make Up For Ever?
Aqua Brow – breakthrough in the make-up. This iconic eyebrow corrector has a 7 ml/0.2 oz volume (a bit smaller version holds 5 ml). Its exceptional – allows application hair by hair and creation of the entirely new and perfect shape. Seven shades of the product help you choose precisely the colour matching every eyebrows. You can mix them to achieve better shade. Hair drawn with Aqua Brow are so precise that you are unable to tell the difference from the real one. Cosmetic is well pigmented, long lasting and waterproof. This is true revolution in an eyebrow make-up. Aqua Brow is definitely worth its price, however, not everyone will consider it affordable, especially that the replacements have entered the market. Will they work as good as Aqua Brow?
1. NYX- EYEBROW GEL
This cosmetic is confusingly similar to Aqua Brow and at the same time is its greatest rival. This is a corrector placed in 10 ml/0.3 oz tube. The product is available in 5 colours. It does not mean, however, that its colour possibilities are any less impressive – after all, cosmetics can be mixed in various proportions to obtain the looked-for shade. The application itself happens exactly the same as with Aqua Brow. However, you can feel that NYX is a bit less efficient and less pigmented. Ergo, the entire eyebrow make-up will take more time. However, for the three times lower price than Make Up For Ever you can make some more effort. The plus of NYX is product’s durability – the gel is definitely more long lasting than Aqua Brow.
2. MAKEUP REVOLUTION – ULTRA AQUA BROW TINT
Make Up Revolution is famous for its affordable cosmetics with the quality equal to the iconic products in the business. Recently, they created eyebrow tint that costs six times less than Aqua Brow. However, Ultra Aqua Brow (unfortunately) has very weak pigmentation and does not allow expressive eyebrow make-up. You have to spend a lot of time to perform make-up with this pomade. Make Up Revolution tint provides more sheer effect, is perfect for delicate eyebrows of blondes. To execute more intense make-up with it, you have to apply at least two layers of the product – waiting of course, till the first one dries. This significantly extends the time essential for make-up. Tint is great to fill eyebrows with colour. Nonetheless, you will not create precise, individual hair with it. So, make-up with Ultra Aqua Brow looks entirely different than with Aqua Brow. The durability of the product is questionable. The cosmetic is durable and leaves most of regular products way behind, but in comparison with Make Up For Ever comes up weak. It can be great alternative for all eyebrow shadows and eyebrow pencils, but will never even be close the perfection of Make Up For Ever.
